Power Down
One day the power went out and we had no idea what was going on or why it was out but hey what do you do....
So we did a few things during that time to keep the kids entertained as long as possible. It was dinner time and I couldn't cook without power. (electirc stove/oven)
During this time Lorilei needed to take a nap and since we didn't have a/c during that time I put her downstairs in the boys room.
She woke up a little bit later and started sucking her thumb cause she was still tired. When she sucks her thumb she like to hold on to something. Some how she got hold of Ryker's blanket from the top bunk and was using that.

Skyler then made a very white trash swimming pool for the kids.......
It was funny, but the kids loved it.
I bought a couple of real pools a couple of days later.

Then the kids went out front and were sitting in a circle talking and it was cute.
Of course when I got the camera they broke up but still memories of a good day.

Done and Done
I am FINALLY getting around to posting a picture of Jocelyn with her "potty prize". This is what she got when she learned how to go potty in the toilet. She learned this surprisingly fast. I am still shocked at how quick and easy it was. I am not saying it was a walk in the park but it was easy compared to Jax, who is still fresh in the mind. (Ryker was pretty hard too. I don't remember Reagan, maybe because she was fairly easy too.) She has been done and had her prize for a about a month now and me being the slacker that I am just barely got to it.
So, here we are with only one kid in diapers (saves about $40 a month) and loving cute little buns in underpants.
Way to go Jocelyn!

cinco
She is a little mover and a groover. She does not like to be still ever. That being said she is a really good baby. She will just play and play for most of the day. She sits up now (holy moly) and she moves (double holy moly). She is almost crawling. AAAHHH. I usually love seeing my kids progess in life and seeing all the milestones but I feel like this one snuck up on me.
Bird Sighting
This Hawke was on my back fence when I got up one morning. I figured he would be scared away the minute he saw people. Nope. He sat there for 4 hours. Then I went outside to see if it would eat food I threw at him....Nope. He just flew away. He was turned away from the door and then when I would take a picture he would turn around and look at me. He was really just there for the photo op not for the food. (although I was hoping I could see him catch something right there in front of me. SWEET! or at least it would have been)
Bike Riding
Jocelyn decided one day that she wanted to ride this bike. She got on and just took off. When she would get stuck Ryker or Reagan would give her a little push to help her along.
Jax doesn't want to even attempt to get on the bike. That is pretty much a summory of their personalities. But just like the other kids, when he decides to do it, he will. If he decides now though I will have fights over who gets to ride the bike. Maybe he better not until I can get another one for the "twins".

Hot Fun in the Summer Time
Sunday Afternoon Excitement
One Sunday we went to feed the ducks. That isn't a real exciting thing in its self but then this time it wasn't just ducks. We saw all sorts of things. (probably not real cool to some people but for the kids it was super exciting)
First while throwing bread to the ducks we saw a muskrat. It was literally swimming under our feet. We put bread in one of its holes and he went to town for quite a while. And we could see him the whole time. (they are actually like of cute..)
Then while walking along the little stream Ryker spotted a crawdad.
It was pretty intense.
Sandy almost jumped in to get it because Skyler wasn't moving fast enough. I made her stop so we could actually stay and play. (if she did go in we would have had to leave and go to the hospital)
Skyler ended up catching it so everyone got a chance to hold it.

Now here is the story with this....
Ryker wears this silly baseball glove A LOT. He wears it all day.
Well Ryker is kind of a wuss pants. (only when it comes to bugs and stuff. Weird) He did not want to hold this thing. He was practically crying when he tried to get him to. So we told him that if he held it in his gloved hand then the crawdad couldn't pinch him. And if it tried it wouldn't hurt because of the glove. So he did it.

I have a picture of him smiling (only because Skyler told him to not because he was enjoying it) but this one kind of sums up how he really felt about it.

No surprise, the girls were the least scared........
(also, they all wanted to glove.....so we shared it)

Jax was a little less scared than Ryker.
After that we saw 4 pelicans (and watch them eat fish)
and then the kids were playing in the trees and being cute.
Since it was just a normal "go feed the ducks again" thought, I didn't bring my camera to capture all their cuteness......lesson learned.
p.s. these are phone pictures

The Season is Over
Ryker is done with T-Ball now. He had a blast playing. The first game he had we got home and he was seriously upset. I asked him why and he said he was mad because he got people out but they weren't really out. He thought that was dumb and they should have been out. I told him that is t-ball you are really just learning how to play and you don't really count the outs and how many runs you get. He did not like that. For a minute I thought he would say he doesn't want to play any more. He was also upset because his coach was in charge of snacks for that first game and he forgot. That was a grievous sin in the book of kids playing t-ball. In the end he continued to go and he loved it.
This is pretty much how we all felt at the games. I will forever support my kids in the things they do but baseball is seriously boring to watch. So mostly the kids played with friends from the ward and we talked with the parents. So really it was a good time. I have to say that t-ball is harder than having the ball pitched to you so next year will be more fun for Ryker.

What do you do in the Summer time......
This is what we do for some of our time in the Summer.......
Go off the curb and say it is a jump......
Wrestle with each other.... (in this case Jax had the bat Ryker wanted but instead of Jax giving it to him he fought for it (Ryker tried to take it) good for Jax I say.)
Ride bikes.....................
Pose for more pictures even though they are doomed from the beginning.....
Eat the camera strap while mom (me) is taking a picture......
Watch as the clouds go by....................... :)
Climb a rock wall.....
Sit with mom and enjoy being held and outside.........
Slide down the slides.............
More climbing of rock walls...... (both of these kids made it to the top alone)
Play some baseball............
Go down more slides.........
Also play in the water all day.
Is that what you do? So do I
