one year til I am 8!

Ryker had his 7th birthday on Sunday. It was quiet and relaxing compared to most Sundays/Birthdays. This was probably due to the fact that Ryker was sick. Nice birthday present. He didn't eat any of his requested dinner and didn't have any cake or ice cream. Sad. He got a bunch of cool stuff that he was excited to play with even though he wasn't 100%.

We gave him a new skateboard so I made him a skateboard cake. I had the idea and just decided to do it so he didn't get any say in what his cake was this year but he still thought it was pretty cool.
(yes I really did put it on wheels (taken off from his old skateboard))

Ryker is a really good big brother. He has moments of fighting and selfishness but who doesn't.
He is always concerned about the other kids when we are places and someone isn't keeping up. Kind of funny. When he gets on the bus with Reagan in the morning he goes up the steps and then turns around and waits to make sure Reagan gets up okay. Super cute. He is a really sensitve but tough kid. Basically he cries very easily if he is sad or happy about something (wonder where he gets that ;)) But then tries to cover it up to look macho. I love this kids to death and I don't know what to do with myself everyday when he is gone. (I am like the younger kids in that way) He is a great big brother and a great son. LOVE YOU RYKER!

Comics

Ryker likes to draw, but he doesn't just draw pictures, he draws out stories.
He starts by drawing lines on the paper to divide it up then he draws out scenes that he is playing in his head.

When he is done he has to tell me everything that is going on in the story/drawing.
It is quite interesting.
Maybe we have a comic book artist on out hands......

Movin' and a Groovin'

Lorilei is crawling! She has been working on it for about a month and she finally has is down. She is still kind of slow but she gets where she wants to and that is what counts. If I go upstairs she will crawl to the stairs and pound on the bottom step and cry. Sad but cute.

I love when they are able to move. It gives us both so much freedom.

Chug chug chug!!

This is how you are supposed to drink it right?????????

She drank the whole thing like this.

Reagan's first day of Kindergarten

So here we are, Reagan has been in school for a couple of weeks and I am just putting it on the blog. Can you say slacker? Plus the only pictures I take of them are when we are at home. (mostly because I know if my mom would have taken tons of pictures at school and stuff I would have been embarassed. And since these are my kids they might feel the same way. Okay so I know they would. But that is just a random side note.) So here is Reagan about to head to the bus stop. Ryker was a great big brother and made sure she was okay and he walked (and still does every day) her to her class. She had a great time. Of course all I hear about from both Ryker and Reagan is about recess. Maybe an occasional academic story, but lets face it recess is the most important.

Another side note......Reagan got her hair cut................

Although I don't have pictures of Ryker on his first day, (we were rushed and he doesn't care) he had a great time in school all day. Every once in a while he will say he wishes he could eat lunch at home (he likes the juice we have) but other than that he loves it. I am glad he is happy and has something to occupy his time.
Love my cute kids. Love to see them grow. And grow is just what they are doing.
