Dangers of HWY 6

This morning when I was doing some part of the breakfast routine I heard this crash noise. At first I thought it was just the kids basketball ball hoop blowing over again. But alas that was already blown over from days ago. So I went outside to see what it was (there is consrtuction right now). Well I noticed that my fence was missing a couple pieces and my tree was broken. Then a lady two doors down was out on her deck and asked if I knew what happened. I said no. I thought it was the wind at first. Then I saw that her fance was down too (at least parts of it). So we were trying to figure out what was going on when a truck pulls up. Not a semi but a pick up truck. The lady asked him what happened and he said that the whole wheel (tire wheel everything) came off of the trailer he was hauling. So it came off the trailer flew over the barrier that is along the highway and flew through 3 fences........

This is my tree and fence and my next door nieghbors fence through the hole.

This one you can see all three sections that got damaged.
One of the pieces of mine has a big huge tire skid mark on it. (didn't realize til later should have gotten a picture before I started this.)
A great start to the day. It really is kind of funny. The guy that was driving though felt really bad and when he came to my house and found out I had kids he had to make sure we weren't outside when it happened and no one got hurt. He said that if he would have hurt one of the kids he would never drive again. I feel bad for him. It really isn't that big of a deal. Made my morning more exciting. It would have been cool to actaully see it though. (is that morbid?)

Happy Birthday

Skyler's birthday was on the 8th (as if everyone who reads this didn't know) So we went to the zoo Saturday, had a party Sunday and had dinner and cake on Monday. We weren't going to sing (Skyler isn't much of a fan. Me neither for future reference) But when we went to the store to get cake mix and stuff Ryker said we had to sing. So we did. And here is the one picture I have. (I am such a good wife)
The cake was a turtle cake and it was really good. Happy Birthday love!!! You are the greatest husband ever!!!! (and don't you forget it)

ZOO

We went to the Zoo as part of Skyler's birthday celebration. It was fun and we got a pass, so if anyone needs a zoo buddy just call us.

The picture of Reagan and the map is actually funny. She had is right in front of her face and was just walking along and people had to steer around her. (only one then I made her watch where she was going. And the people thought it was funny so I didn't feel bad) It was one of those classic things where if there was a wall she would have run into it.

The carosel was..... well a carosel. What can I say. All the animals to ride on were cute but it irks that is cost 2 dollars per person (riding not standing) to ride the thing. Too bad the train broke down the night before or we could have skipped the carosel. Oh well, the kids love it and that is fine with me.
So that is out trip to the zoo in a nut shell. It was fun and we will be going again.

2 Wheels

Ryker finally learned how to ride his bike without training wheels. We tried the 1 training wheel trick for awhile, but he didn't really go for it too much. He decided it was easier to just ride his scooter. One day he started showing interest in his bike again. Skyler took the kids on a little walk on Sunday and then called me and said go outside and watch for Ryker. While on the walk Ryker figured out how to balance and just ride on 2 wheels. And from then on he has been great at it. No trying to convince and teach this kid. When he is ready he will just do it on his own.
