Tim-brrr

THIS is how you go pick a tree and chop it down.
The real way. In the real forest.

So we did go chop down a tree. It was freezing (that is to be expected, no?) It is HARD walking in 2+ feet of snow. It is 10x harder to drag a tree through said snow. I sat in/ stayed next to the car the whole time. But when the tree choppers came close and went and tried to help them make it the last little bit. I went 10 feet and thought I might kill over. Notice how far they had to go up the hill/mountain. Makes me tired. The kids were pretty much done waiting by the time they got back but I bet the others were done walking through the snow. I have NEVER seen Dallin get tired or worn out and he is constantly moving. But he was having a hard time and that tells you how difficult it was. That being said, it was a great experience and when all was said and done, everyone thought the same thing. So when you want the REAL experience of chopping down your own tree you can come with us!

P.S. my camera died so I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted sorry. I will also have pictures of our tree when Skyler gets it lit!

Crafty crafts

The sisters and I bought a cricut together. This is the first craft we did. I like to look at this and see how different our tastes are in somethings. Even though I like all of them, we didn't pick any of the same paper.

How well do you know us, can you guess who's is who's????

LOVERS!

Can I just tell you how much I LOVE having nephews that belong to my sister's. Don't get me wrong, all of my neices and nephews are great, there is just something so fun about having kid(s) with my sisters.
That being said here are a couple of pictures of those cute cute boys.

Don't mind the feet....when we get these munchkins ready for a photo shoot we have 3 sets of parents all trying to get the perfect picture all at once.

I have no words, it just makes me smile and laugh.
I love them all!
Sadly Lorilei likes to beat up on these boys. Okay so she just loves them and doesn't know that hitting isn't really the right way to say it. Some day they will all be beating up on eachother. Can't wait!

Giggles

Ryker decided to make use of the laundry baskets I left at the top of the stairs by putting Lorilei in them. He then pushed her around the kitchen for a while. Lorilei loved it.

Get Ready

He pushed her so fast her head would fly back. Whiplash!

It is always nice when they have fun together.

Lazy Sundays

Sunday we went for a drive up the canyon and of course with all the fall colors I had to take pictures. (only about a hundred) The kids were not liking that idea they just wanted to play so I didn't get any where they were all looking. Plus, for some reason, even though it is Sunday, they all look like orphans.

I told Skyler we would have to go back when they are looking cute(r). He thinks I am crazy.

Apple Pickin'

We picked some apple off of my mom's and Pop's tree.

Some of the bounty.

Heavy load.

Ryker was kind of scare to go on the big ladder but he did it.

Jax's cowboy boots. It was cute and cracking me up when I would see his pants and boots together. I "real" cowboy look.

Reagan on the "6 foot" ladder. I think my mom and Dallin were talking about getting the 6 foot ladder and the kids heard so that is what they would call it.

Lorilei liked the fruit of our labor.

Jocelyn was good and grabbing apple and posing.
Sometimes she would pretend to grab them just to get a picture.

I made him sit in the tree....he wasn't a fan.

Good one.

Ryker and Reagan sort of climbed the tree. My kids are not the type to do things like that. Which is kind of weird. I think they had fun but we didn't get all the apples off. (sorry mom)

Is it taller than you mom?

Reagan and Jaxon built this tower of pegs. They wanted to make it bigger than me. I think they succeeded. And of course they needed a picture of it.

It is a Curse Really

A couple of weeks ago I decided that things needed to be rearranged in the house. Not just the furniture in rooms, but moving everything to a different room(s). The only rooms that stayed the same were my bedroom and the upstairs Living room. The boys room moved, the girls room moved, the toy room moved, and the other living room moved. Skyler doesn't like when I get these ideas I am sure.
I have since spent almost eveyday thinking that something isn't right and moving around more stuff.
Of course when things get moved around things have to be redone. Actually this prject is something I have been wanting to do for a while I just now decided on a color scheme for the girls room. So here you are...

BEFORE:

AFTER:

I am not sure that I like it still but it is an improvment for sure.

All that jabbering made it sound like I did a ton of stuff, but this is it. For now. I have other things in mind.

A Few Tricks From Someone Sweet

Dispite the title, I don't like Halloween (we aren't aloud to say "hate" here. Just ask Jocelyn).

Anyway, Lorilei like to sit so her feet hang down the stairs. This the first time she did it and she was so proud of herself. She had a big grin and kept kicking her legs and sqealing. It was seriously funny and adorable.

Disadvantage of having a big car..... (lovingly named "The Beast")

Lorilei crawls under it. Funny, but what if she gets stuck......Good thing I have a few other small people who can help get her out if that happens. She thinks she is so funny. When I try to get her she just laughs and kicks her feet. Crazy girl.
