Dangers of HWY 6

This morning when I was doing some part of the breakfast routine I heard this crash noise. At first I thought it was just the kids basketball ball hoop blowing over again. But alas that was already blown over from days ago. So I went outside to see what it was (there is consrtuction right now). Well I noticed that my fence was missing a couple pieces and my tree was broken. Then a lady two doors down was out on her deck and asked if I knew what happened. I said no. I thought it was the wind at first. Then I saw that her fance was down too (at least parts of it). So we were trying to figure out what was going on when a truck pulls up. Not a semi but a pick up truck. The lady asked him what happened and he said that the whole wheel (tire wheel everything) came off of the trailer he was hauling. So it came off the trailer flew over the barrier that is along the highway and flew through 3 fences........

This is my tree and fence and my next door nieghbors fence through the hole.

This one you can see all three sections that got damaged.
One of the pieces of mine has a big huge tire skid mark on it. (didn't realize til later should have gotten a picture before I started this.)
A great start to the day. It really is kind of funny. The guy that was driving though felt really bad and when he came to my house and found out I had kids he had to make sure we weren't outside when it happened and no one got hurt. He said that if he would have hurt one of the kids he would never drive again. I feel bad for him. It really isn't that big of a deal. Made my morning more exciting. It would have been cool to actaully see it though. (is that morbid?)

Happy Birthday

Skyler's birthday was on the 8th (as if everyone who reads this didn't know) So we went to the zoo Saturday, had a party Sunday and had dinner and cake on Monday. We weren't going to sing (Skyler isn't much of a fan. Me neither for future reference) But when we went to the store to get cake mix and stuff Ryker said we had to sing. So we did. And here is the one picture I have. (I am such a good wife)
The cake was a turtle cake and it was really good. Happy Birthday love!!! You are the greatest husband ever!!!! (and don't you forget it)

ZOO

We went to the Zoo as part of Skyler's birthday celebration. It was fun and we got a pass, so if anyone needs a zoo buddy just call us.

The picture of Reagan and the map is actually funny. She had is right in front of her face and was just walking along and people had to steer around her. (only one then I made her watch where she was going. And the people thought it was funny so I didn't feel bad) It was one of those classic things where if there was a wall she would have run into it.

The carosel was..... well a carosel. What can I say. All the animals to ride on were cute but it irks that is cost 2 dollars per person (riding not standing) to ride the thing. Too bad the train broke down the night before or we could have skipped the carosel. Oh well, the kids love it and that is fine with me.
So that is out trip to the zoo in a nut shell. It was fun and we will be going again.

2 Wheels

Ryker finally learned how to ride his bike without training wheels. We tried the 1 training wheel trick for awhile, but he didn't really go for it too much. He decided it was easier to just ride his scooter. One day he started showing interest in his bike again. Skyler took the kids on a little walk on Sunday and then called me and said go outside and watch for Ryker. While on the walk Ryker figured out how to balance and just ride on 2 wheels. And from then on he has been great at it. No trying to convince and teach this kid. When he is ready he will just do it on his own.

Kitties and Cuties

Paige's cat had kitten and my kids L-O-V-E petting them and holding them. Jocelyn goes crazy when she sees them. So, these pictures are.... Reagan loving on them (if it weren't for Ryker's allergies I would take one home for her) Ryker doing something "richards" like. And Jocelyn.... then one bottom center she is patting it...bottom right she is pulling it off her shirt cause it scratched her. And then there is the picture of them in the tree being cute.

A preview

So here is a preview of Paige's wedding dress. This picture was just on Caitie's camera and so I decided to put it on the blog! I guess she decided to try it on and then she spent time wandering her yard in it. (at least that is what I can tell from the pictures) Every girl just wants to spend time in her dress right?

Memorial Weekend

On Memorial Day we decided to go hiking. This fist group of pictures is of Bridal Veil Falls. That hike is not what I remember from when I was a kid,but that is probably due to the avalanche. Anyway, we hiked up there then took pictures and looked around. We were going to hike up with Caitie and Zach but we got there and didn't know when they would come so we headed up. They got to the top about five minutes after we did. The hike down was some what easier since we had 4 adults and 4 kids.

So the middle picture is actually at the grotto
After Bridal Veil we went to Sundance. Caitie said there was a "tram" that went to the top of the mountain and then a trail to a waterfall. When we got there I found out that "tram" meant ski lift. People who know me know that I HATE I mean HATE heights, which means ski lift. I am petrified of ski lifts. Especially when my kids will be on them. But I did it. Skyler can tell you what a wreck I was. But we made it (I am not dead while writing this) When we got to the top we got off and went to find the waterfall. We were hiking along and hiking along and never got to it. We were all tired and we couldn't carry all the kids so we ended up going back before we got there. It was pretty hard for a little bit, but the kids were really good and did great with all the walking.

I don't know what the kids were doing in the side picture, but that is the sign telling us where to go. Then there is Jocelyn walking and eating dirt. (something she does often) Everyone hiking and then Caitie and Zach.

Mother's Day

I know these are way late, but no camera.....using Caitie's...... Hey I am getting to them now so it's okay. So for Mother's Day we go to Temple square and walk around. (it's tradition) I had to dress my kids up so we could look cute. It was fun and I love watching my kids explore and play.

Here is a family picture.....everyone knows I hate pictures so this is good for me.
This was very hard to get because for some reason they were all NOT in the mood for pictures. Go figure.

More pictures. I know it is harder to see like this but it makes it so I am able to put more on. (poo on looking fat.... maybe it isn't just "looking" maybe it is "being" dang...)

Rock Band Baby!!

Caitie and Zach bought Rock Band today, so we of course had to have a Rock Band party. Everyone is rocking out. The kids are having fun. Reagan sings, Ryker plays the instruments with help, and Jocelyn will sing too. (which is cute) I made a video but I don't know how to post that so this will have to do for now. If you want to play come join. It is always a party at my house!!!! ROCK BAND BABY!!!!

Baby Blankets

My sister-in-law would like some help. Here is what she put on her blog.

"In memory of our baby Maxwell, I wanted to make and donate receiving blankets. I would like to donate these blankets to Utah Valley Medical Center in Utah as well as local hospital's here in New York. The blankets would be given to grieving parents who lose their babies. I know when Maxwell passed away one thing that I wanted was for him to be kept warm. I remember receiving a white blanket from someone I didn't know and I can't tell you how much it meant to me. I loved bundling Maxwell tight in something warm. I want to pay it forward,so my goal is to donate 100 receiving blankets and I need YOUR help. If YOU or SOMEONE you know (grandma, aunt, cousin, friend, sister, brother, mother-in-law etc) is willing to help make or buy material to make a blanket LET ME KNOW. This will be awesome if we can pull this off,I can't do it on my own, please help me out!
Thank you!!!!
Please spread the word on your blogs and facebook accounts!

(This would make a great R.S. project, YW project etc....) "

If you would like to help you can go to her blog or let me know.

Thank you so much!!!
