Short legs movin'

Lorilei started walking this past week. It has been so fun to watch her learn this. She thinks she is so big and is very proud of herself.

Yesterday while walking around the other girls started doing "head, shoulders, knees, and toes" Lorilei went right over with them and was trying to mimick what they were doing. It was so funny. She was even "singing"

YEA!

She is so happy!

This little girl is so silly. She says "no, no, no" "mom" and pretty much just jabbers all the time. She blows kisses if you say "bye" or "night night" She waves if you says "hi" She loves to eat. Most of the time she has a grahm cracker, or at least a grahm cracker face. She loves to sing and dance and play anything the big kids are playing. We sure love her. Jocelyn still thinks she can follow her around and carry her or block her if she thinks she is doing something wrong. Lorilei hates it and so do I most of the time. At least Jocelyn is looking out for her.

Mid-January Fun

We went swimming yesterday. That's right swimming. I didn't bring my camera because a) the water. Not really worth the risk b) Some pools don't allow cameras because they don't know if you are taking pictures of other kids in swim suits. That is fine by me. I understand.

So no pictures, but we went and it was fun. Everyone had a good time and I am sure now that we went I won't be able to use "it isn't swimming weather" as an excuse. Which means we will probably be going again.

You should all come too!

Slack-tastic

I bet everyone was hoping/expecting pictures to go with this post. NOPE. I find myself with absolutely NO desire to blog. Not even about our Christmas. Don;t get me wrong Christmas was great, my kids were SPOILED, and they were super cute, but still no motivation. You can pretty much expect to never see a post about this Christmas.

Also, everyone is putting their goals for 2011 on their blog. You will not find that here. I don't really want to talk about goals. They are too depressing. The reality is that it will not be accomplished and then at the end of the year I will feel like a failure. At least if I don't mention goals no one knows I failed except me.

Can you tell the "January Blues" took hold. A little early. Oh well what can you do.

I don't even know what else to say. I just want to sit and do nothing all day (not an option) which in turn makes me a bad mother, which then makes me upset with myself, which makes me more upset. It is a vicious cycle.

Sorry to depress everyone. Just wanted to say we are alive and did have a good Christmas I just don't want to post about it.

Jax is 4!

Jax had his 4th birthday! It was fun for all. (well Ryker got upset because "Jaxon is lucky he gets presents before Christmas" uh so do you it is just in September.) Anyway, Jax got to go shopping with my mom and then went with me and Skyler and then we took him to dinner. We had a good time and I love spending time with him. He is so stinking funny (when he gets a chance to talk). He is a good kid and is so easy going most of the time. I love him and the sweetness he bring to our family.

The cake. He had so many ideas for his cake and this wasn't even one of his originals. Ryker suggested this to him a couple of days before. It actually worked out nice cause it was easier than most of the other ones. Not my best cake but it did the job.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAX!

Christmas Crafty-ness

Here are the things I made for Christmas.

This is our Christmas countdown. I was rushed I sick and it didn't turn out the way I wanted but it gets the job done. So next year I will start earlier and have a plan. The kids really like it and love having something to do everyday, even if it is small.

note: the other crafts below....... Me on the left, Paige in the Middle, Caitie on the right. Good job Rachel for getting mine right :)

O' Christmas tree

Here is the tree we cut down all lit up. It looks short in the picture, but it is over 10 feet tall. (I was laying on the ground) Yes those are ropes tied to it. Let us remember that I live in a high wind area, plus the hieght of the tree, it needed to be anchored. It might look funny but I am sure my nieghbors appreciate that my tree isn't in their yard everyday.

Not so Innocent

Lorilei's favorite place to play (besides the toilet) is the pantry. I am fine with it. The things she can eat and that she can get into are at her level so I don't worry about it when she is in there. One day I checked on her and found that she had gotten a packet of crystal light open and was sucking the powder out. (she must get this from Paige) It caught me off guard at first cause her mouth was red so my first thought was that she was hurt, but she wasn't upset. When I walked over to her I could smell the sweet smell. Oh....well it is better than blood.

She was not happy when I took it away. (why couldn't she have opened the one that was colorless, then she could have kept it)
I don't even know how I took it away, look at that face.

Jocelyn LOVES her sister. Sometimes a little too much.

Tim-brrr

THIS is how you go pick a tree and chop it down.
The real way. In the real forest.

So we did go chop down a tree. It was freezing (that is to be expected, no?) It is HARD walking in 2+ feet of snow. It is 10x harder to drag a tree through said snow. I sat in/ stayed next to the car the whole time. But when the tree choppers came close and went and tried to help them make it the last little bit. I went 10 feet and thought I might kill over. Notice how far they had to go up the hill/mountain. Makes me tired. The kids were pretty much done waiting by the time they got back but I bet the others were done walking through the snow. I have NEVER seen Dallin get tired or worn out and he is constantly moving. But he was having a hard time and that tells you how difficult it was. That being said, it was a great experience and when all was said and done, everyone thought the same thing. So when you want the REAL experience of chopping down your own tree you can come with us!

P.S. my camera died so I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted sorry. I will also have pictures of our tree when Skyler gets it lit!

Crafty crafts

The sisters and I bought a cricut together. This is the first craft we did. I like to look at this and see how different our tastes are in somethings. Even though I like all of them, we didn't pick any of the same paper.

How well do you know us, can you guess who's is who's????

LOVERS!

Can I just tell you how much I LOVE having nephews that belong to my sister's. Don't get me wrong, all of my neices and nephews are great, there is just something so fun about having kid(s) with my sisters.
That being said here are a couple of pictures of those cute cute boys.

Don't mind the feet....when we get these munchkins ready for a photo shoot we have 3 sets of parents all trying to get the perfect picture all at once.

I have no words, it just makes me smile and laugh.
I love them all!
Sadly Lorilei likes to beat up on these boys. Okay so she just loves them and doesn't know that hitting isn't really the right way to say it. Some day they will all be beating up on eachother. Can't wait!
